Quantum Controls BV manufactures yacht stabilizer systems, including ZeroSpeed^tm and OnAnchor^tm systems used while anchored or drifting, distributed by Quantum Marine for the US and Canada; and by Quantum Marine for the rest of the world.

     Theo Koop's innovations in yacht stabilization systems include the world's first multi-term electronic stabilizer control; Rotary Stabilizers, which use the Magnus Effect to generate lift; and development of the original active-fin roll stabilization systems to control vessel roll when at anchor or drifting.

     Quantum Controls BV's management committee will now include Theo Koop, Lambert Dinissen, and Hans Ooms, the controls and software specialist from Delft University whose development work on the Quantum Controls ARC 3000 series of electronic stabilizers controls created the industry's most advanced stabilizer control systems. Mr. Koop will concentrate on development and product management in addition to working closely with Quantum customers to determine requirements for specific projects.
